Inspired by the mycorrhizal networks found in forest ecosystems—autonomous and decentralized systems of mutual support where trees share nutrients and information through their roots—this work sought to reinterpret human relationships through a similar lens.
At the center of the space, I installed a structure in which industrial steel pipes and live plants intersected, representing the organic intertwining of nature and the artificial, individual and relational.
Over four days, like a forest, the space enabled continuous flows of information and resources between participants. Rather than being isolated individuals, participants unconsciously experienced what it means to exist in relationship—through processes of self-expression, mutual response, and exchange. The work became a space where this experience could be lived and carried back into daily life.
